GCIFF Selected As “BEST ATTRACTION” On The North Shore Of Long Island!
Great Neck, NY (August, 2016) — It was recently announced that, for the second year in a row, the Gold Coast Arts Center & Gold Coast International Film Festival have been voted as the “Best Art Gallery” and “Best Attraction” (respectively) on the North Shore by the community they have served for the past twenty years!
Through an online competition hosted by local media outlet, Blank Slate Media, the community was invited to vote for their favorites in a number of different categories over the last few months. Since their inception in 1995, the Gold Coast Arts Center (GCAC) and Gold Coast International Film Festival (GCIFF) have been staples in the cultural growth and enrichment in Nassau County, having received a number of honors and accolades. Both GCAC and GCIFF are dedicated to continuing their support of the arts through exhibition, education, outreach, and innovation in the field. Aside from their successful arts school that sees over 500 students a year, the two organizations operate year-round and work diligently to provide unique exhibition opportunities for artists of all media, including a focus on showcasing exceptional filmmakers through a wide variety of events, exhibitions, and film screenings that both educate and entertain audiences of all ages.
“We are so proud of our Gold Coast Arts Center Gallery and Gold Coast International Film Festival” says Regina Gil, Founder and Executive Director, “we are honored to receive recognition in both of these categories and are so grateful to our community for seeing the value in the work we do to bring upcoming and established artists and filmmakers to our region! Thank you, Long Island!”
